Hope Alive Uganda empowers communities by giving communities in Kamuli district access to health care. In an area where people didn't have access to medical assistance at close distance, Hope Alive Uganda has set up an hiv/aids information centre and medical centre, namely E & E medical centre. Hope Alive Uganda empowers communities and youths by creating awareness and knowledge about hiv/aids and by offering counseling to assist people with aids in remote and isolated areas. Hope Alive Uganda believes clean and safe drinking water keeps men, women and children healthy and thus, provided people in Bukyatifu, Kisozi with a borehole. What's more, Hope Alive Uganda gives trainings about hygiene, hygienic use of latrines, the importance of clean water to make communities less vulnerable. Hope Alive Uganda organizes Eyecamps, whereby people can have their eyes checked by professionals and can be provided with a pair of glasses. Hope Alive Uganda works with professionals and in Kamuli district the following people make a difference with Hope Alive Uganda: Doctor Patti Kayanga, lab technician Paul Mutyabule, social worker Agnes Nakiirya and midwives Annet Onyango and Fatuma Babirye.
