Penninah is from Kameke in Pallisa district, in Eastern Uganda.  She is 12 years old and has just joined secondary 1 at Iganga secondary school.   Penninah would like to become a lawyer.  She speaks English fluently.  What's more, Hope Alive Uganda sees that this girl has the capacities to finish secondary school and continue until university when given the chance. 

School fees at Iganga secondary school are 899,500 Ugandan shillings per term, which is around 300 euros per term.  To be able to finish secondary school, a total of 10,794,000 Ugandan shillings is needed, which is around 3600 euros for a period of 4 years.
