In Jinja, Hope Alive Uganda is planning Hope Alive Library, a small private library for children aged 6 to 12. In this small library, exciting books are present for children who can visit the library in small groups during afternoons. A maximum of 10 children are allowed to visit the library and spend an afternoon there. In this library, children can come and relax, read books and improve their reading skills. At the library, special activities for children are organized such as art and crafts activities. The children visiting Hope Alive Library to participate in reading and other activities are guided during the afternoons. Hope Alive Uganda focuses on offering marginalized children such as street children in Jinja the opportunity to spend their afternoons in a safe and relaxing environment which helps them to escape from street life and dangers such as drugs, prostitution and crime at times. Therefore, Hope Alive Uganda likes working with professionals who care for and cater for such children.
