Hope Alive Uganda has set up a partnership with Eyeclarify in the Netherlands.

Eyeclarify provides free pairs of glasses to projects which can benefit those people in the community that can't afford to buy a pair of glasses.

Eyeclarify donated more than 400 pairs of glasses to Hope Alive Uganda and this large amount of glasses arrived in Uganda in October 2009.  Eyeclarify donated pairs of glasses for children as well as pairs of glasses for adults.

Early November 2009, announcements were made through the local radio stations, informing the people about when to have their eyes checked so they could receive a free pair of glasses. With the help of health centres, people's eyes were examined and the type of glasses one can use were determined, after which people received a free pair of glasses. This eyecamp was held between 19th and 21st November 2009.

However, Eyeclarify itself set up a partnership with an insurance company in the Netherlands.  Thanks to this partnership between Eyeclarify and the insurance company, it was decided that Hope Alive Uganda will receive all glasses donated in their new campaign.  At the end of November 2009, Hope Alive Uganda received another large donation of pairs of glasses by Eyeclarify.
