Volunteers are our backbone |
|
Volunteers are the backbone of every organization due to their outstanding responsibly which always put the organization to a move. Every effort is welcome: human and financial resources. We also work with the volunteers to ensure that they learn from the community as the community and the organization also learns from them. That's why we value you so much.
How you can help
Hope Alive Uganda needs volunteers that are able to volunteer at least 3 to 6 months. Volunteers can involve in several activities some of which includes:
- building the school
- teaching the children at school
- helping and setting up/running the chicken, goats and vegetable project
- being involved with health programs on for example HIV/AIDS and counselling young mothers
- sports, drama and other social activities for children
Volunteers are also very helpful in fund raising for the organization, this is where we hope to get most of our funding in the future.
What Hope Alive Uganda cannot offer
Hope Alive Uganda is unable to offer volunteers financial assistance, since it's just a growing organization. We do hope those who are coming to volunteer with us will always cater for their food, drinks and airfares. However, some little accommodation is available within the organization. This cannot accommodate so many people. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn the local language; some few essentials skills that will help them fit and communicate with ease with the local people. Besides the training, we offer an opportunity for our international volunteers to learn the African culture through local dance and songs. We all hope to see you in our country.
Europeans can download the application form here and send it to Hope Alive Uganda.
