At the start of 2010, Hope Alive Uganda started a cooperation with two women's groups from Jinja. All women are involved in making Ugandan paper beads and necklaces, bags, bracelets, paper bead belts, earrings etcetera.   One women's group is from Kakindu, Jinja and the other women's group is from Buwenda, Jinja. The women's group from Kakindu, Jinja, is led by Florence Attio and 30 women are partcipating in this crafts group. The women's group from Buwenda, Jinja ia led by Rachel Nangobi and in this group, 50 women are participating. The aim of both women's group is to help women become independent. Hope Alive Uganda would like to give more women's groups and crafts groups an opportunity to create a market for their products through Hope Alive Uganda.
