In the second week of January , Hope Alive Uganda started the first constructions of the chicken project with the help of the 1 % club. This chicken project will be set up to support the children and needy families buy schooluniforms, schoolfees, schoolmaterials and to live their lives. And naturally, they can eat the eggs laid by the chicken! Also, the chicken project will partly serve as an income generating activity for Hope Alive Primary. 600 chicken arrived in Kisozi at the end of April 2010. When the chicken arrived in Kisozi, the chicken were just one week old. Ssamuka Patrick and his family took care of the chicken the first three weeks since they have a long experience with chicken brooders. After this period, the chicken moved to their permanent chicken house, where Immaculate Noora is monitoring the project.
