Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde supports women |

Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde in Leiden in the Netherlands has supported the women particpating in the crafts project by buying 110 necklaces. This is the third museum that has supported the women's group: the Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam and the Wereldmuseum in Rotterdam have already supported the women.

Hope Alive Uganda is regularly looking for volunteers to work on several tasks. Descriptions of these vacancies are available here. There are job vacancies for volunteers in the Netherlands to strengthen the work of Hope Alive Uganda in the Netherlands, and there are job vacancies for volunteers from other parts of the world. Hope Alive Uganda doesn't require volunteers to work on the ground in Uganda only. Many activities can be carried out by volunteers in their home countries. Worldschool group 2 to attend the Worldschool event |

The second Worldschool group - Lynnet, Maike, Marilou and Astrid - has finished their task for 2009-2010. They will present their materials at the Worldschool Event in Amsterdam on April 8th. Their materials can be found here. This group has made a "vertelkast" which they will hand to Hope Alive Uganda. This "vertelkast" can be used with younger pupils at schools in Kisozi. At the end of April, this "vertelkast" will be handed at a primary school in Kisozi where it will be used in lessons about the dangers and prevention of Malaria.
