This week, HAU received the fantastic news that solar panels for the medical center in Kisozi are funded.  In Kisozi, power going off frequently is a major problem.  In case power goes off in the village, it can sometimes even take two weeks before it is restored.  Minor surgeries and medicine that need to be stored in a fridge are affected negatively by power going off frequently.  Thanks to solar panels for the medical center, HAU will be able to guarentee electricity at all times, meaning patients can be admitted at all times, medicine can be stored in a fridge without worries, minor surgeries can be carried out at all times and women at the maternity ward can be guided during birthgiving even at night without problems. HAU hopes it will be able to install the solar panels before April.
